What you'll do

This is a hike with intention: a bit of soulful twist on a nature walk.

We meet at Shell Beach, a rocky beach that is a part of the Sonoma Coast State Park a bit south of the town of Jenner. It requires a short hike down a path that drops steeply to the beach below the bluff. There, you will be guided through a brief stretch warm-up and intention setting exercise.

Then we walk up the path to the top of the bluff for a longer, but mild, 30-45 minute guided hike north along the Kortum Trail. This well-maintained and relatively flat and easy trail offers sweeping views of the ocean and offshore sea stacks.

We finish the hike with a visit to a Secret Labyrinth which is hidden and nestled along the path. Here we will take a deeper pause in remembrance of past; honor of presence and potential of future and make offerings with a simple ceremony.

We close with a guided meditation and gentle stretches. Shared words and journaling complete our time together. This journey ends in a place that if you didn’t know it was there, you would never find it unless some other traveler directed you. Once found, you will never forget it.

Twice-named "New York City's Best Yoga Teacher" by New York Magazine, as well as being featured on the cover of the magazine, I became a popular teacher and influencer for hundreds of people over the years. Embracing all things beautiful from the inside and out, I continue my pursuit of Grace.

Originally from the East Coast, I bought a Treehouse in Guerneville in October of 2016 after 24 years in Manhattan and am now proud to be a representative of Sonoma County as a Sonoma County Tourism Ambassador.

I love creating experiences for others that have purpose, passion and intention and look forward to sharing this special experience with you.

Where you'll be

Shell Beach, Sonoma Coast State Park is a narrow rocky beach in Sonoma County just south of the Russian River and the small town of Jenner. It is known for rocks and tide pools that are exposed when the tide is out. Some of these rocks are completely covered in mussels. Fishermen enjoy this area for the opportunity to catch a variety of fish species. Hikers will find the Kortum Trail along the bluff an excellent find.

What a magical day and experience we had with Stephanie. We had flown in earlier that day and love to hike, but traveling in new territory and alone as women we always look for guided hikes and especially Airbnb experiences - this one did not disappoint. It surpassed our expectations. We did yoga on the cliffs of the Pacific ocean, took a lovely and meandering hike through the coastal plains and enjoyed Stephanie sharing local stories and observations on the land. Along with that was a very low-key yet intentional focus on helping us set our intentions, not only for the hike but in life going forward. She’s so intuitive fun and insightful it felt like a very touching experience. Her subtle education of what we would experience in the labyrinth throughout the hike and the final culmination was all remarkable. I highly recommend!

Went on a private hike with 4 other wonderful women and dove into the opportunity to have self-reflection as well as connection to the gorgeous setting. Stephanie was warm and welcoming and ready to tailor our experience to our desires the moment we walked up. She had a few things planned for us (including light yoga stretches facing the ocean!) and carved out opportunities to reflect and release and slow down. You could do many of these things by yourselves but for me, having a guide helps to trust the process and not get muddied up or distracted -much like I love yoga classes vs doing it on my own. I would recommend this experience to others looking for an opportunity to look inward in a beautiful coastal setting.
