What you'll do
Antibes was and still is home to many artists and writers. Chief among them: F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, Graham Greene, and Nikos Kazantzakis, the author of Zorba the Greek. We'll start at the Place Nationale, stroll through the quaint pedestrian streets of the Old Town and see where they lived and worked. We'll read some of their best passages and use the turquoise waters of the Cote d'Azur for inspiration as we learn to write in the style of the greats. We'll share our work if we'd like to and finish with a coffee in a sun drenched or shady cafe.
Other things to note
As it will be primarily an outdoor walk, please wear good shoes, bring sun protection, light jacket if necessary, and your favorite writing materials.

Hi! I’m Augustine! Working Writer, Optimistic Feminist and Author of the forthcoming memoir, WOMEN A LA MODE: Adventures in Global Feminisms, French American Friendship and Writing A Book About Women in Paris.
Originally from Los Angeles, California, I'm celebrating my 10 year anniversary of living in France. Fluent in French as well as the subtle etiquette of interacting with the French, I'm in love with living in Antibes. I'm looking forward to sharing the secret passageways of the Old Town and showing you where the famous and sometimes infamous writers lived, worked and fait la fête!

It was wonderful and inspiring to meet Augustine, a very warm, brilliant American writer, who is totally part of the Antibes community, with great historic anecdotes about famous writers whose works have been influenced by their lives in Antibes. I would highly recommend this experience!
