What you'll do
A fully escorted whiskey trail through Dublin City, over one afternoon. Includes bespoke visits to three fully operational distilleries with tastings at each. A city tour of Dublin with whiskey in its heart! Our meeting point is James Fox Cigar and Whiskey Store at 1:15pm, very central location. Board your executive transport and our guide will bring the city of Dublin to life with commentary on board! Our first visit is to the Dublin Liberties Distillery – a new distillery set in a 300-year-old building. Along with learning how their whiskeys are made and how they differ from other world brands, you’ll be entertained with some wonderful stories of the famous Liberties neighbourhood. Just a short walk around the block will see us at Teeling Whiskey Distillery – private visit to the distillery floor for photos, followed by private tasting in the bar to include Teeling Small Batch & Single Pot Still. Next to Pearse Lyons Distillery, set in St. James’ Church which dates back to the 12th century. The tour includes a saunter around the graveyard on the grounds of the church followed by private tasting of 3 Pearse whiskeys and 1 gin. Our coach takes us back to downtown Dublin and we finish at the Celtic Whiskey Shop for a private tasting of premium whiskeys and your guide is happy to share some recommendations on good spots nearby to eat and drink!

My Dad and I share the same the name, John Callely. We share the same pride of country and we have a particular grá (Gaelic for love) for Irish whiskey tourism, an industry that has been good to us over our combined 40 years’ experience. We’re glad to say our name is synonymous with premium whiskey experiences in Irish tourism circles, so much so that we formed Whiskey Island to share these experiences with Airbnb guests. Be our guest, and John Junior or John Senior (depending on which one of us is available) will bring the onetime whiskey-making capital of the world to life!

John was amazing host with great passion for all things whiskey. The locations selected offered a nice variety of tastings and gave the group a chance to experience the different sides/stories of the Irish Whiskey story. I would recommend this tour for anyone who loves whiskey/whisky from any country.
