What you'll do
Photographer Reylia Slaby will take you through a Japanese Fine Art Photography workshop. Showing you step by step how to create an artistic image, and enabling you to experience the culture in a unique way. After meeting, we will go to our pre-planned location. From there we will all sit down and get comfortable. We will get to know each other for an hour, discussing the basics of what Fine Art is, and the group's experiences and thoughts on art. From there, I will run through the basics of posing, as well as introduce some exercises to help you better connect to the art. Finally, there will be the photoshoot. There will be one main concept for the day, and we will be using a variety of Japanese props and backgrounds to help further propel the image and to thread into the piece.
Johnna And Reylia
Originally a semi-professional graphite pencil artist, Reylia made a gradual switch to photography around her teen years, and then discovered fine art photography in 2012. It instantly struck a chord, and she knew that she had finally found her ideal outlet of self-expression. She has since been in a variety of publications, and has won a variety of awards, such as the Adobe Photoshop 25 under 25.
Where you'll be
The workshop will take place in Nara Park. Because of its wide open spaces and scenic variety, it serves as the ultimate location for an artistic photoshoot.
