Where you'll be

We start the hike in Dicomano, a delightful village of medieval origin, sitting at the foothills of the Tuscan Apennines.
After a walk through the picturesque streets we get out to immerse into the tuscan countryside for an active hiking on the Mugello area hills, along the secret trails of the vineyards. The agricultural estate is located on the hill of Frascole, into the Chianti Rufina area, near an important Etruscan archeological site.

We’re so glad we included this hike in the Tuscan hills with Simone as part of our time in Florence. Simone was very warm and knowledgeable and tailored the hike well to our pace and abilities. The visit to the Frascole vineyards with wine and cheese tasting and meeting the owner Enrico was a delight. We have new appreciation for how much passion and knowledge goes into the creation of a bottle of Chianti Rufino. Highly recommended! Grazie infinite Simone!

Thank you for a wonderful afternoon together! We had a great time hiking in the hills outside of Florence. The scenery was spectacular, even in the winter months. The vineyard we visited was family owned and very personal, the wine was top notch. Simone was an expert about the history and products of the local area, and was able to answer all of our questions about local culinary traditions. He also has a number of other tours in the area such as biking and visiting a saffron farm that we wished we had time to take. We couldn't imagine a more perfect way to spend a few hours on our trip, it really exceeded our expectations.

This experience was so unique and lovely! Simone was clearly an expert on the countryside and pointed out to us so many little things about nature and winemaking. We were able to see a part of the countryside we could never see on our own. We loved this experience and definitely recommend it to others, it was one of our favorite parts of the trip! The wine tasting was honestly just an added bonus, I would have done it without it because it was so cool to see tuscany in this different way.
