What you'll do

We will pull our kayaks into the sand and lay them near the water as we go through a necessary safety talk and paddle clinic before we set off for our adventure. It is a great feeling knowing that all your food beverage provisions are accommodated for as you embark on your journey of a lifetime. There will be birds flying in every direction that you look and of all different species that its overwhelming at first when you are attempting to identify them but with the help of binoculars, laminated ID charts, and a little bit of focus you will be recognizing them quicker than you think. From majestic great blue herons and bald eagles to skimmers and oyster catchers we will be within short distance of an immense array of life. We will explore and learn about a plethora of environments such as saltmarshes, oyster reefs, sandbars, mudflats, and even can venture to the Atlantic Ocean if your feeling up for it. Maybe we will harvest our own seafood for a good lunch or dinner on our way back? We can break and snack whenever we want, all the while experiencing the raw tranquility of the natural world around us and making memories that will stick for life. Just one possibility.

I am truly blessed to have grown up in what I believe to be paradise that is the Eastern Shore of Virginia. This piece of paradise hosts the longest chain of undeveloped Barrier Islands in the country and thousands of square miles of intricate shoreline that is the heartland for convoluted migration patterns of birds, marine mammals, and fish. I was molded by this environment and am a Certified Ecotour Guide through the VDEQ. My passion is offering others the experience to escape to nature and cultivate knowledge and fellowship with the natural world.

Where you'll be

We will have a multitude of options to choose from depending on weather conditions when it comes to the locations that we will be visiting. The Seaside coast of the Eastern Shore of Virginia hosts hundreds of miles of estuarian ecosystems with elaborate convoluted coastlines consisting of shallow bays, maritime hardwood forests, intertidal marsh and dunes. All locations will be accessible via boat ramp and or private residents.
