About your host

I'm the brains behind Nova Goods, a shop that sells hand-dyed clothing and textiles. I spend my days hiking the canyons of LA and foraging for native plants to dye fabric. I can make extraordinary items with just a swatch of silk and leftover onion skins.

What we’ll do

Discover how foraged materials can create beautiful textiles. We'll search the neighborhood for plants with dyeing capabilities, then head to my home studio. I'll share the ancient art of shibori (Japanese indigo dyeing) as we drink mimosas. We'll use a steaming pot to turn our foraged finds into permanent stains on silk. You'll leave with two pieces, plus the skills to continue creating.

What else you should know

Please wear comfortable shoes and clothes you don't mind getting stained or dirty.
