What you'll do

For our tour, we will meet at the Milk and Honey Market at 10 E. Lanvale st., a cafe with street parking out front and a parking lot around the corner. Be sure to pay for parking for 2.5 hours. Feel free to arrive early to caffeinate and grab a bite if you like. After guests have checked in, we will then walk to about 60 points of interest, seeing quite a bit of street art, but also learning the history of this often overlooked urban landscape. We will enjoy a walking a loop of about 2.5 miles with a small pit stop towards the end for refreshment before heading back to milk and honey market. On this walk, we will enjoy the alleyways, parks, and farms of the often underrated, but constantly surprising revitalized neighborhood of Station North Arts & Entertainment District. Locals and travelers alike will enjoy this very instagrammable look at a gem of a neighborhood. Depending on the size of the group and speed of walking the time for finishing might be slightly later. There are periodical trivia questions and easter eggs hidden along the way - be ready to get competitive and rewarded with candy!

If you don't see a time and date that works for you and your party - please reach out to me and let's set something up!

Hello! I’m Liz and welcome to Bmore! My love affair with the art of Bawl-mer (Baltimore) started 15 years ago when I transplanted here from Michigan. The artistically inclined daughter of a professional illustrator, I was immediately taken with the arts hub of station north. Living here, I was able to witness firsthand the birth of these astounding murals. Professional hip hop choreographer, teaching artist in west baltimore and a grad student at Maryland Institute College of Art (a top-ten art school) uniquely qualifies me to share about how public art revitalizes a city and enriches us all.

This tour was amazing. I would not have ventured into this area Baltimore in my own. Very knowledgeable about the city and the history behind the mural images

I had limited time in Baltimore, so this was a perfect experience. I got to see some amazing street art and learn about the artists and processes behind it all. Liz was awesome, knew her stuff, and provided great insight.

A must-do for a trip to Baltimore! Although it was a hot summer day, Liz helped us navigate the shade while we got an awesome education about the mural and art scene in this not-oft-toured neighborhood of Baltimore. She made it fun and engaging and it was a treat to get to see some of her own art!

THIS TOUR IS AMAZING!!! First of all, I asked Liz if we could do a Saturday tour (we were only in Baltimore for 1 day) and she totally accommodated us, even though there weren't tours on the schedule. We walked for 2-3 hours and felt so connected to both Baltimore and Liz - she is an amazing storyteller, a knowledgable historian, and a fantastic artist in her own right. Can't recommend enough!!

I brought my pup on this tour along with my boyfriend and his two daughters (ages 10 & 15). We all had a great time learning about Baltimore, it’s artists, and the beautiful artwork. My boyfriend took 120 photos by the time we were done and we came out feeling like we knew the Baltimore culture on a deeper level. Liz was very friendly and obviously knowledgeable and passionate about Baltimore art. I’d recommend this tour to anyone who likes art, walking and wants to understand the city a little better.

My life has been enriched; I spent weeks talking to my friends back home about this experience. If you have any interest in art, learning about the rich cultural history of Baltimore, or the way in which neighborhoods have developed there, then gift yourself this immensely rich experience. Walking through the Baltimore Mural Projects with Liz was enlightening. She is truly passionate about not only the art, but the communities that exist around the murals. Walking around and listening to the different stories of the artists, the buildings, the neighborhood, the design choices - it was like being on a tour of a modern art museum with a private curator. I drove around the city several times and would never have seen all these amazing works if I hadn't walked around with her! Liz offered wonderful tidbits of knowledge, and was able to sprinkle in commentary on the history and politics of the area with refreshing and eye-opening sincerity. She was very kind about pacing, and allowed me to stop and take photographs when I chose to. Her knowledge was better than any book I've read on the topic, and whether you know a lot about street art or a little, this tour is a must-see and must-do in Baltimore. I love museums, but this tour was alive in ways I cannot describe. You will not regret walking around with Liz and seeing Baltimore through expert eyes. She is an artist, an advocate, and a resident, and she provided me with an excellent education on Baltimore.
