What you'll do

We'll get you checked in right when you arrive to allow for the most possible time on the water! Once you're all checked in, we'll give some basic paddle instructions and information about the tour ahead. We'll get you loaded up into your clear kayak and off we go! The paddle will last about 2 to 2.5 hours depending on the speed of our group and any wildlife we may see along the way. We will be sure to take plenty of pictures and give some awesome unique facts about the area on our several picturesque stopping points! There will even be a couple chances for you to get out and enjoy the refreshing Spring water! There's even a rope swing if you're looking for some added excited. The first half of the paddle will be upstream towards the headspring of Rock Springs (a slight workout, but don't worry we take breaks) and the second half will be a gentle coast back to our launch point. Be ready for lots of great local nature and wildlife along the way!

I believe that the best way to experience nature is in a completely clear kayak which is why I founded Get Up And Go Kayaking! I am proud to host the top experience near Orlando! Clear kayaking allows you to have an immersive perspective on the unique wildlife and nature we have here in Florida - I like to think of it as having the best window seat to the 'real' Central Florida!

If you're not paddling with myself, you'll be guided by Austin, Ashley, or Nick, well-traveled local Orlando lovers with backgrounds in adventuring and hosting!

Where you'll be

We will start the tour at King's Landing and paddle into a unique part of Rock Springs Run known as "Emerald Cut". This portion of the waterway is a beautiful greenish/blue tint with tree canopies overhead. There's a hidden jump platform that we allow guests to take a leap from if they choose. From there we'll paddle through the winding crystal blue waterway towards Kelly Park and eventually make our way back to our launch!

THIS IS A ONCE IN A LIFE TIME EXPERIENCE!!!!! Austin our guide was amazing and so kind. It is upstream the first half of the tour which is some work but then u get to just float back and enjoy. There are stop to get out and swim...so don’t let the upstream work detour you. We will be back sooner than later

Austin was our guide and he was great! Even thought it was in a group, we were able to go at our own paces. He was extremely friendly and we felt very comfortable around him. There are multiple points where we take a can break and we could swim around. The clear kayak was another great part of the experience. We would definitely do this again and ask for Austin to be our guide!

Small group guided tour into a part of the Florida “jungle” that we would not have felt confident going on our own. Our two grandkids (ages 15 and 10) plus our dog were welcomed and encouraged along the way. There were two stops along the way to rest and refresh in the crystal waters. Our guide made the experience fun for our whole group by engaging us and taking turns paddling nearby and/or giving us the space to enjoy the quiet, peaceful environment.

Austin was our guide today and he was very friendly and personable! We arrived early and he treated us very well (thank you)! We were first in the water and second to last to get out. So we definitely got a ton of kayak time! The springs were insanely busy today being the first real hot day of the year. Also, as I type this review the entire country is heading into a quarantine due to the coronavirus. So today felt like a last ditch effort for anyone to get out and enjoy themselves. I was beyond grateful I reserved this tour in advance as there were a few people trying to rent the clear kayaks. My son and I had a wonderful experience and we wish we could’ve spent more time with our guide. But due to how busy the springs were and the varying abilities of all kayakers, it was impossible to stay together as a group. But that is NOT a reflection of Austin (or this tour group). We did see deer, tons of different birds, fish and turtles. Rope swing is amazing! Platform jumping and flipping was crazy-fun to see! **SO many people asked us where we got the clear kayaks. We felt special, lol! One thing I would like to mention for future guests is that if you tire easily or don’t have a ton of upper body strength (or a partner who can take the brunt of the work) to paddle upstream, it could be a challenge for you. Also, double kayaking is harder than it looks and a lot more tricky than a single, lol! My son and I learned that the hard way today. But we quickly adapted and got in a groove. Bottom line...take this tour...BOOK IN ADVANCE....get ready to paddle and listen to the coaching about currents and paddling upstream...maybe pick a day that isn’t a weekend afternoon so it’s not so busy. And definitely pick a day where the world isn’t ending tomorrow. Lmao!

My friends & I loved it!! I would definitely recommend this to everyone. Our guide Penny was super friendly, took a billion photos for us and kept us entertained on the way. The scenery and clear waters was just beautiful. I will definitely be doing this again when I visit Florida. Also thank you Justin for such a quick response to any questions or confirmation I had. You rock!
