What you'll do

Your visit will begin with a brief tour of our farm and introductions to some of our smaller friends (i.e. Pygoras goats, Sheep and overly friendly Barn Cats ) with a short story of our 1850 homestead located in The Historic Hudson Valley on 25 bucolic acres .

Next, Introduction to Llama/Alpaca 101 and why these soft and fluffy critters are the new Unicorn of animals. We will cover basic safety rules and answer any questions before we begin our trek.

We will guide your Llama/Alpaca trek through gentle pastures, paddocks, past a stocked Bass pond and encourage Llama/Alpaca Selfies along the way. We hope to leave you a few minutes at the end to stop by the Farm Store and find a special farm memento.

Please note that high heels and flip flops are not encouraged and bug spray(during warmer months only) is recommended.

This experience is for participants 8yrs and older.

I am a passionate educator and committed steward to the land, our animals call home. I have been raising and rescuing camelids for over ten years, rehabilitating them to be pets , pasture companions and 4H Youth Development project animals. Our animals are hand raised with care and respect. Allowed plenty of pasture to enjoy, room to run and animal friends to play with.

I enjoy teaching people about camelids and their many amazing qualities. They are more than just a fiber and/or pack animal, they are docile and personable companions that will melt your heart at your first meeting.

What a pleasure and honor it is to be loved by animals who have learned how to love and be gentle because of the dedicated individuals who took care of them every day. It was wonderful to meet a family of both furry friends & humans.

I had never heard of an experience like this before so I really didn’t know what to expect, it just looked incredible. Turns out it’s 100x more incredible than what it looks like. Andrea made us feel safe and comfortable around the animals as well as each other. She gave a wonderful history of the farm, animals, and herself throughout the hike. The farm is beautiful and so are all the animals! The llamas and alpacas were easy to handle and be around. The little shop at the end really tied it all together. Truly will never forget this and look forward to coming back!

If you want the most magical day ever please book this experience. You’ll fall in love with the llamas and alpacas, sheep, goats and cows! I was so excited when I found this gem of a place but being there was even better than expected. I will be coming back and hanging out with Ringo and Biscotti the kissing llama again. Andrea was amazing and so knowledgeable about farm life and the animals. 10/10 would recommend!
