What you'll do

Discover the cultural richness of Warsaw’s Praga. That district located just across the Vistula river from Warsaw’s Old Town, has a centuries old history and escaped the major devastation during World War II.

Meet me in front of the St. Florian's Church and start discovering this exceptional Warsaw neighborhood. Walk along 19th century tenements that haven't changed since WWII, and sneak in to their backyards. Find Polanski's "The Pianist" movie spot, local craftsmen studios, courtyard shrines with Virgin Mary, and my favourite street art. Look up at iconic churches of different religions, discover pre-war Jewish heritage, and walk through revitalized former industrial complexes.

This tour will show you a completely different face of Warsaw, more local, hip, and authenthic. It offers a special vibe and charm while walking its streets among locals who have been living here for many generations.

My name is Łukasz, and I was born in Warsaw. This is the city of my ancestors: my family has been living here since the 19th century. I studied social psychology, and I`ve been a professional licensed guide of Warsaw since 2013. I'm also a certified guide of the Royal Castle. I guide people from all over the world, and this is what`s incredible about it - meeting people from different cultures. I love my job and I love sharing my knowledge and passion about my city :-)

I am the author and curator of two websites about Warsaw - Warsawcitytours.pl and Klimatwarszawy.pl, where I write about history, architecture, local restaurants, museums, public art and places that I think are worth visiting, but cannot be found in regular guide books.

Where you'll be

Praga is an authenthic neighborhood that wasn't destroyed during World War II. For locals it's a legendary place, cause it offers a completely different atmosphere than the rest of the city. Filmmakers shoot their films here. It's full of old run-down buildings, small abandoned factories hidden in the backyards, and great street art. It's a "must see" place for visitors who look for something more than the biggest tourist attractions

Łukasz was great company. Cool, smart and fun - excellent English - extremely personable. Łukasz taught us so much on this tour - and could answer the 100s of questions we threw at him! I would recommend to all!
