I am the owner of an environmental management unit in the jungle of Akumal. I have attended several courses of environmental education, also a course given by the National Institute of ecology and bioclimatic change. In the facilities we give refuge to more than 100 wild animals of 18 species and with which we carry out rehabilitation reproduction and reintegration, plans.
My work is focused on helping these animals and improving and maintaining their facilities to offer them a better stay while they are with us

Our guide Sebastian was very friendly, knowledgeable and a spoke English very well. We learned about the stingless Mayan bees and were able to try some, which was amazing, ended up buying a huge bottle of it. We was very kind to the animals and explained how it was they got to be there (as an anti-zooer this was very important to me). The cherry on top was the amazing cenote, best one we have experienced so far and we had it all to ourselves. The restaurant at the glamping spot was really good too.

Amazing experience, the high care for the animals is really evident. What Antonio has setup is inspiring and so glad we were able to be a part of it. Important thing to note is the money spent on this experience goes into the care of the animals and running of this facility, so continued funding is key.
