About your host

I am a "foot scootering fanatic!" In fact, I take some type of foot powered scooter wherever I go! I have scootered all over the streets of New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Japan, Israel, and New Zealand and have even done a round trip scooter ride across the Brooklyn Bridge! I have scootered for miles on beach bike paths, in mountains, on trails, and in cities all over the…

What we’ll do

We will meet at the main parking at Red Rock Canyon Open Space in Colorado Springs. (I will be easy to spot in the parking lot since no one else in Colorado Springs or the Open Space has foot powered mountain scooters with a dog attached.) After we get ourselves ready for our dog-scootering experience and lock up our cars, I will first get you used to riding a foot powered mountain scooter. Then,…

What else you should know

If you have never been on a foot powered scooter, I will show you how to ride one! Foot-scootering is easier than bike riding or inline skating. Don't worry...my mountain scooters have great hand brakes! By the way, you will love my dog!

What I’ll provide

Sports equipment and Creative supplies
I will provide a mountain scooter for you to use. I will bring my dog who will be wearing a harness. A bungee leash will be attached to the scooter. If you want to bring your own dog on our adventure, I have an extra bungee leash you can borrow, but your dog will need a harness.

What to bring

I recommend that you wear a bicycle or skateboard helmet.
Bring your own water and snacks or lunch.
Be sure to wear some sunscreen.
Friends or relatives are welcome to tag along and hike, watch, and hang out with us!!
If it is a cold Colorado day, bring warm clothing and gloves.
If you don't want to wear a helmet, bring a hat to wear.

Where you'll be

The Red Rock Canyon Trail, located at the Red Rock Canyon Open Space, a Colorado Springs locals' secret, is a wide and easy trail suited for hiking and biking. As we hike up to the lower dog loop and then to the Red Rock Canyon Trail and then scooter down, we will enjoy the beautiful Colorado scenery that will surround us. We will pass a small lake and we will briefly stop there for photos, dog-scootering practice, and a snack. Fun guaranteed!
