Pop on goggles and swim out in my favorite Newport cove for snorkeling and spearfishing in a peaceful kelp forest full of bass and seabream. I'll teach you how to load, aim, and fire. Once we return to the beach, I’ll turn your catch into ceviche, sushi, and sashimi. We'll feast as we unwind.

I’m Nick, a freediving and spearfishing guide based in Orange County. I grew up by the sea in Southern California, and I've been diving here since I was a kid. I have 30-plus years of experience in ocean swimming, and I’ve logged more than 100 dives over 25 years as a PADI Open Water SCUBA Diver. Lobster hunting, spearfishing, and underwater photography are some of my greatest passions. I review oceanographic data daily to understand current ocean conditions.
