What you'll do
We are going to meet at John Kennedy Street No 260, Jardim Oceânico and then search - on a classic land rover defender - for the spot with the best conditions of the day for your surfing level!
This is a great opportunity to explore the beautiful coastline of Rio! (yes we have other beaches, not only Copacabana and Ipanema).
Once at the beach, I'll tell you the safety measures at sea, do some warm up exercises and train the movement of standing on the board, first in the sand. After that, we will go to water and catch some waves!
At the end the class I will take you to a spot of unique beauty in the city.
And for an extra, we can contract a water photographer to take amazing photos of your experience!

I am the creator of One Carioca Day, a tourism/unique experiences company whose mission is to offer our guests a unique experience in Rio - not as a typical tourist, but as a true carioca (person who was born in Rio) - in a fun, friendly and environmentally conscious way! Our services includes: Surf Lessons, Outdoor Yoga Lessons, Ecological Hikes and Paragliding.
In regards of surfing, well this sport is my passion. For me surfing is more than just standing up on a board, is about being present and grateful for being in close contact with nature living the moment at it's maximum intensity!
I have more than 10 years of surfing experience of which I spent surfing in different places around Brazil (mainly in Rio), the word (South Africa, Indonesia, Peru, California, El Salvador and others) and also teaching people of most varied ages and nationalities the first steps of this incredible sport!

Where you'll be
We don't have a fix spot to surf, so we are going to search for the beach with the best conditions to learn! Possible beaches are: Barra, Reserva, Recreio, Macumba, Prainha and Grumari.

Up to 3 guests ages 8 and up can attend.
Government ID
