I'm a professional kimono stylist and I love to mix the kimono with Western clothes, which is not the formal way. It is my passion to preserve the traditional kimono for generations, while making it modern and fun to wear.

And I also love sustainability of Kimono. Kimono is not just fashionable items. I can also teach you the sustainability of Kimono through history of Kimono and life in Edo-period(1603-1867).

My experience with Yui went just as I expected. She allowed us to select the kimono and accessories. Prior to our visit, she stayed in contact and ensured we made it to her location. She had a great selection of kimono to choose from for both males and females. I had no issues with the size. The tour was well paced. Since this was a walking type of tour, we had really good weather. Tokyo Skytree was in the back drop, made for some really good pictures. I was very pleased overall. Will definitely look this experience up next time I'm in the area!

My friend and I had a great kimono experience. We took a stroll around the neighborhood after picking our kimono, learning a bit about the history of the place. We visited the temple nearby and walked through a geisha street. Although it was a bit early for the geishas to be out and about, we were able to glimpse at two or three of them walking purposefully, perhaps towards a rehearsal or something. On the way back to the shop, we stopped at a local shop selling oden, a Japanese dish, and we were able to buy some late lunch which we ate at the shop at the end of the day. What I loved most about the tour was the friendliness of our host. She was very welcoming and felt more like a friend than a guide. Would recommend this tour as you get to enjoy a stroll in kimono in a quiet neighborhood, and after you're done you can explore the busier Sky Tree area and Asakusa.

I was fortunate Yui met me even though I was the only one on this experience! This made it more of a cultural exchange, 'two way learning' about each other's culture. Yui is honest, easy going, relaxed & happy. The time flew by (I think we went over time) I enjoyed learning about the history of the area, the shrine, exploring one of the old shopping streets of Sumida City and of course selecting a kimono & wearing it as you explore. A unique experience from start to finish.

Yui is fabulous at what she does. This experience involves assisted dress-up in kimono, a walking tour and history lesson, and some snacks and drinks. Additionally, Yui is a great conversationalist and provides a wonderful window in to Japanese culture. She is happy to talk about things from both a historical and social point of view. I had a lot of fun with her. At the end she helped me to pick out some kimono accessories to buy, which was epic! She has a lovely selection of kimonos. She made me feel so relaxed. This really helped when she was taking photos for me, which i usually find a little difficult.

Oh my! Where do I start. I've always wanted to experience the Japanese culture of wearing a Kimono. 由衣 met me at the station (directions was very accurate), we took a short walk to her shop where I tried different fabulous Kimonos until I got the one that felt right. We walked around the neighborhood while 由衣 gave me a brief history of Kimonos and the Geisha lifestyle. We also visited a Shinto Temple where we took pictures. 由衣 was so relaxed and it felt very comfortable. Amazing experience and one I can check off my bucket list.
