What you'll do

We are fully booked November through January with our opportunity to give locally by volunteering your time & energy to work on a native Hawaiian owned organic farm! You will work beside us and afterwards we will entertain you with live Hawaiian music! Enter an ancient volcano on Hawaiian Homestead & learn some Agriculture & History. We no longer serve food, & the low price reflects this change. Come help shape & tend this family-owned organic chocolate farm of exotic trees, flowers, miniature horses, pygmy goats, & silky chicks. The farm always needs tending, from pulling weeds to planting new starts from seeds, digging post holes, trimming trees, or painting fences. Papa waters over 1,000 plants by hand every other day. The work here never ends and you can be part of our Ohana, which is Hawaiian for family! Papa Lew will start with a Pule, the Hawaiian term for prayer, and provide you with plenty of filtered water. Join us to work hard together and we will end with papa & the family home that day, play a half hour of Hawaiian music. Our family farm is located in a Rainforest and we work rain or shine as it is still warm & comfortable. Wear beach shoes & old clothes or beachwear is fine, there are outdoor restrooms where you can wash up when the work is done. You will work at your own pace and can rest or take shade as you need.

This was one of the most magical experiences I've ever had. Papa Lew and Keti were gracious hosts and we learned so much about Oahu and their family. Amazing storytelling, amazing farm, and amazing work they're doing. We helped out for a bit, had some fresh fruit from the farm, and watched a beautiful performance by the whole family. I don't feel like I am able to put the experience into words. I would 100% love to do this again!

This experience was beyond what I'd hoped for. Aunty Keti and her family were warm and welcoming, happy to share and discuss their culture and lifestyle and it felt great to do a little earth work in such a spectacularly beautiful place. I feel much more connected to this island, having been to the farm.

10/10 experience! keti and papa lew were the sweetest hosts. They are so welcoming and taught us so much of the native Hawaiian land and culture through agriculture and music. We hope to visit back on our next trip to see how the cacao trees are doing and catch up with this special ohana ❤️

My boyfriend and I had an amazing experience that quite literally brought us to tears. We both learned so much about Hawaiian history and got to give back to the land. After working on the farm we got to listen to beautiful music played by the family. We will be returning again

This was one of the highlights of my family’s trip to Oahu. It is always important to think about how you can give back to the land you are a visitor on, and we had the opportunity to do just that with this beautiful farm. The whole family are so kind, warm, welcoming and down to earth. We had great conversation while working on the farm and were pleasantly surprised afterward when the family gifted us with storytelling and some traditional Hawaiian songs. I HIGHLY recommend booking with Keti! If we were on the island longer, we would have definitely booked more than once ♥️. Mahalo for the teachings and for welcoming us onto your farm.
