As the tour begins, you will experience unique parts of the Mojave Desert, in the Joshua Tree District, from the lens of an explorer in an authentic military HumVee.

Where you'll be

Enjoy the great outdoors in my open Military HumVee. This is a full sensory experience with sights, sounds, and smells of the Mojave Desert. You will see ancient rock formations, animal life, world-famous Joshua Trees that are about 1000 years old in this magical realm of the Mojave Desert.

Really unique, exciting two hour adventure to round out my short trip out to Joshua Tree. I was a solo traveler but Steve and I became fast friends in the Humvee, and he wowed me with his extensive knowledge of the area, specifically the diverse plant life. We rode out to see the giant Joshua Trees, which were much larger than any I had seen in the National Park. Turns out Steve is a great photographer and snapped a bunch of cool shots of me by and on top of the vehicle in front of the trees - really nice. Had a great time solo but imagine it would also be fun for a small group. First time in this type of off-road setting, and it didn’t disappoint.

Steve was a wonderful guide! The offroading was so much fun and he taught us a lot about the local flora and fauna. Great experience, awesome rocks, and I'd love to go again the next time I'm visiting!

Exciting and Fun! Not much to do in Pioneertown, this was a fun way to go out and see the Joshua Trees. Steve was our driver. He was very knowledgeable of the area and offered to take pictures of us with my phone. The pictures were awesome! I would definitely book them again and would love to bring m kids next time.

We booked the experience last minute and I am so glad I did! I wish I had booked 3 hours, our driver Steve was fantastic.
