What you'll do

On this three-day road trip, we’ll travel from the city of Fez through the dunes of the Sahara Desert and the Atlas Mountains, eventually reaching the city of Marrakesh.

We’ll stop along the way to see Morocco's dramatic gorges, and pass through Berber villages and kasbah ruins. Then we'll ride camels through Erg Chebbi sand dunes, visit “the rose city”, see Makak monkeys, and visit Ouarzazate (aka the door of the desert).

The first night we'll stay in a Berber tent, and the second night we’ll be in a hotel overlooking the Dades Valley.

This driving tour was an amazing experience! Our favorite part was riding the camels and staying in the desert camp. Our driver, Ydir, was awesome. We learned so much about Morocco from talking to him and we really connected. He was a safe and effective driver. The whole trip is very professionally organized. The van was comfortable and modern. The tour stops along the way were interesting and diverse. We saw monkeys in the forest, camels in the desert, and so many interesting sights in between. Like other reviewers have said, this AirBnB experience was the highlight of our trip to Morocco!

Our driver Idyr is truly hospitable, and passionate about sharing Berber culture. Also very attentive to our needs and always swift to give replies or offer help. It is a very special experience to go deep into the mountains and deserts with a local who is eager to share anything that he knows about his country, culture, land, people, customs, etc. We also got to stop at some local shops and get some souvenirs along the way, such as the dates and rose essential oil-they are amazing! And the Berber pizza is a must-try:P

WOW! What trip! This was everything that was promised and more! Don't kid yourself, these are VERY long days, but so worth it! Ydir, our driver, was funny, informative, and very conscientious. The stops were well planned with a few delightful surprises. The flexibility of a smaller group was worth every penny. The pictures, the memories... what a wonderful way to see Morocco!

Idir, was our driver and guide for the most part. He had great disposition, was fun to talk to and an excellent diver, very prudent, we felt save all the time. As a Berber people, he had good insight about the culture and the area, and was prompt to answer all our inquiries. The van seemed pretty new, very spacious and big panoramic windows. Overall the experience was really cool, sightseeing and the natural landscapes were out of this world and in my opinion the highlights of the trip. The visit to the sand dunes, camel ride and camping in the desert was fun and unique, although a bit rustic. There were some recreational activities on the sand dunes with quad bikes, 4x4s and garbage (cans, plastic bags) on the dunes that took away from the experience of the camel ride, but they are not related to our host, just overall infrastructure or cultural shortcomings. Different companies operate in the area. The other stops on the trip were very cool as well and the second night accommodations were very comfortable. We got to see a lot of the eastern part of Morocco, the Western Sahara desert and the Atlas Mountain ranges, absolutely stunning... long days in the car, but we’ll worth it!

Mohammed is a hard worker. Super attentive to our needs, and a good driver. We highly recommend spending the extra €65 /pp to do the luxury merzouga dune camp in the desert: it was the highlight of our two weeks in Morocco. The sand, camel, tents, music, people were incredibly beautiful and well planned. A warning for future airbnb users, the desert can get VERY VERY cold (-0 celsius) in the winter! Would have appreciated better accommodations on the second night, but overall was a good experience. Would highkey recommend for families out there looking to book a tour.
