What you'll do

We start off meeting at the Woodstock Exchange building where you’ll get an opportunity to enjoy a fresh sea food meal ( on your acc if you wish), from our friend Jules whose father catches the fish! There is also great coffee, chocolate, and various other craft shops we can check out.
For those who are keen, we’ll pop into an artisan ice cream & jams craft shop.
On route to the Biscuit Mill we’ll pass via my favorite hidden gem store in Cape Town. More coffee, chocolate, snack opportunities & street art along the way. If the weather is really bad, we just hop on our legendary & charismatic ( to say the least) taxis.
Once done at the mill, we do a Craft Gin distillery tour & tasting, followed by a Craft Beer tasting at one of Cape Town’s beer bars.
This tour is ideal for those wanting to sample the real Woodstock Craft & shop scene. As seen through the eyes of a local!
All the above has been meticulously picked to give you an experience you would not usually have unless you knew these people as we do, them being our friends :)
Other things to note
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any queries you may have. Do check out the weather forecasts. Cape Town is unpredictable in that way.

Together with our guide Team Roy & Preston we have created some amazing & unique Urban Experiences to show you a fantastic day out in Cape Town.
I have been fortunate to work in this area for over a decade whilst running my own beverage business. During this time, I have met many craftsmen & woman whose passion for what they do has transformed this area into what it is today, a funky, hip & cool area where many local artisan craft businesses strive.
I'd be delighted to show you around, introduce you to other locals and sample some of the amazing foods, drinks & shopping on offer.

Where you'll be

The Woodstock Exchange is a perfect example of how an industrial nearly abandoned building can be turned into a hub of residence, businesses & retail. The same goes for the Biscuit Mill, in fact redeveloped by the same owners. Onto the Tap Room where an open, cool, hip modern yet classic bar with mountain views has been designed.
The entire area is an interesting mix of old & new..

Please eat breakfast before coming as there are really no eats included, except for an ice cream. I thought the seafood was the number one stop, but it was nowhere. The second hand shop was a nice surprise and we could buy some collectables there. I enjoyed the gin tasting with Simon a lot. As South Africans we know the history of our country, but it was interesting and refreshing to walk on that route. We would most probably not have done it on our own. I find the Old Biscuit Mill so outrageously expensive that I would prefer not to go there again. Our guide was very friendly and caring, sharing a bit of his own history, and I wish him all the best for his future!

Preston was a lovely guide & knew so much about Cape Town & its history & culture. He is also someone who is really easy to become friends with! We got to know each other, and I left having made a new friend. Also, the best ice cream I've ever had & the gin factory tasting was also amazing. The owner actually showed the tastings himself & the gin was super tasty, too.

Sebastian knows his stuff and is a super dope guy in general. I had a blast hanging out with him and he really tries to connect with people on his tour. The beer and gin tasting are delicious. The coolest part is that Sebastian really does know everybody so you get amazing service and the true character of all the places you visit.

Sebastian was an amazing host who constructed a really unique and fun tour. We loved seeing the craft establishments and experiencing the local feel. All the places we went to were really friendly, delicious, fun and unique. I loved that he knew most of the proprietors personally. He was also awesome and flexible with our kids, offering some special accommodations for treats (in lieu of the alcoholic beverages). If you have a chance, def do a tour with Sebastian!
