What you'll do

Join us to experience the hidden gem in the heart of Colorado Springs and learn fun facts from our expert guides about Colorado Springs and park history. Within the park we'll tailor the hike to your experience level and expectations. At the trail head we educate you on the Five Fundamentals of front country activities and then we're off! Your hike can be anywhere from one mile on a casual trail with less than 200 feet of elevation gain or, if you prefer something more adventurous, up to four miles with over 600 feet of gain--it is up to you! You will witness beautiful rock formations (ever seen a "hoodoo"?) and we will be on the look out for wildlife. We'll make time for breathtaking photo ops AND along the way we'll tell you about the local flora, fauna and history of the area. After the hike we provide you with a summary of your experience that you can share on social media!

Bruce was excellent helping me plan my trip. He arranged for Nikki to be my guide and she was personable, knowledgeable and very easy to talk with on our hike. A wonderful experience!

We had a wonderful time on our hike at Palmer Park. Megan was an amazing guide, and we left knowing so much more about the park/city/area. We had a great time chatting and exploring with her.

Megan was our hiking guide and she was awesome! She tailored the difficulty to our (novice) needs, but still challenged us to keep going. She was very knowledgeable about the area’s unique ecosystem and history. Overall it was a great experience! If you’re looking for a little more structure to your hikes while in town, or want to learn more about the area— this is your experience! Would recommend to anyone and everyone!

First time in Colorado Springs and he made it really memorable! All the sweat and heat are all worth it, Despite of the on and off weather. Bruce is really accommodating along with his team. He is very informative and all, very good guide! I really recommend him! My mom and my husband are first timers and they really loved it!

Well this was an absolutely great hike. Bruce is incredibly knowledgeable about flora and fauna and his local area in general. It was very interesting as well as a really good hike. Bruce was very conscientious about safety and my comfort. He is a very warm and friendly guy and I think his idea of setting up hikeforlife.co - a holistic approach to hiking for all - is a fabulous one. Definitely will go again when back in Colorado Springs!
