Mi name is Oscar, I'm 30 years old and was born in Guadalajara.

I left my job at a bank to move to Mérida.
I was part of the Scouts Asosiation of México for 10 years. I've surfed in the Pacific, I was camp guide at Sierra del Tigre and I've climbed the Nevado de Colima with my dog.

Nowadays I am being trained as a rescue diver and I am a PADI AWD.

I sell solar panels and I love the tourism that supports local economy and preserves the culutral heritage and the environment.

A perfect day trip from Merida, exploring beautiful cenotes and eating a delicious local meal. Oscar picked us up and drove us out of Merida where we stopped at two beautiful cenotes we had completely to ourself. After swimming/snorkeling we had a meal at a local Mayan family’s house. Beside the cenotes and the meal, Oscar was a perfect host, providing good insight into the Mayan people and history, plus a lot more. He is what I would classify as complete genuine and down-to-earth kind of guy. A guy I would befriend in “real life” :)

This was definitely one of the highlights to our trip in Merida. Oscar is very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the maya and the area. The cenotes are a once in a lifetime experience and because they’re so far off the beaten path you’re likely to get an experience completely alone in both cenotes as we did. The Nah-yah cenote is something exquisitely special, the color that you see in the denote is other worldly. Would recommend to anyone staying in Merida for sure. Do not miss this experience.

I had a fantastic day with Oscar, and absolutely recommend this experience to anyone wanting to visit some lesser-known and absolutely beautiful cenotes. Being welcomed into a Mayan family’s home for lunch was a special experience, and it was great to see the amazing connection that Oscar had with the local people. Thank you for a great day!

Just an all round amazing experience with Oscar! Shared a lot about what he has gone through and learned and had a great knowledge of the people that live here. He was very friendly and had a personal connection with a family that lives in the village around the Cenotes that you visit. We got to make some homemade tortillas with the family and right after they served us a traditional meal which was delicious! All in all it was a high light of our trip and we would love to have this experience again!

We had a very nice time with Oscar and our small group. Oscar is friendly, knowledgeable, and participates fully which is really nice (more like a friend than a tour guide). The lunch was delicious and the cenotes were stunning.
