What you'll do

This tour starts from Brussels center and brings you to Flanders to the heart of the Belgian cycling. The length of the Brussels to Flanders tour is 100km. This tour includes climbing of the iconic Muur and Bosberg climbs from the cycling classic "Ronde Van Vlaanderen". The route takes place entirely on small country roads, cobbles and hills, as they say, "Vlaanderens mooiste" (the best of Flanders).
On top of the Bosberg climb there is a very nice Café whose owner I know well. There we can stop for a bite or for a Belgian Beer.
The tour ends to the same spot as it started, from and back to your doorsteps where you stay in Brussels :)
Other things to note
This tour is not a competition. The aim is to give you a wonderful cycling experience adjusted to your level.
Note: Once you have booked I close the availability for that day. This tour is a personally tailored one. Only if you book it with your partner or friend the two spaces can be filled.

I am an ex-professional cyclist originally from Finland. I mostly raced in Russia (Soviet Union) and after my competition career the love for cycling even grew bigger!
After moving to Belgium I completely fell in love with the Belgian style of cycling, the hills, the cobbles and of course to the various quality beers after quality rides.
That is where my idea for this experience came from.

Karl was a great host for this experience. Logistics were easy to get through, and he navigated roads and everything excellently. Made the experience super easy and fun for me. He also took photos along the way, which was a great touch. I was expecting to have to stop and take photos myself.

I was passing through Brussels on a last minute work trip, looking to do some cycling in the iconic Flemish countryside. Karl-Heinz responded quickly, put together a perfect 100km route, and provided a steel bike, perfectly fit based on measurements he requested beforehand. Our ride covered every kind of terrain, through the city, farm roads, gravel, and of course cobbles. Super fun ride and great host overall, and he even let me beat him up the Bosberg. It was a really good reminder to live my life, breath every breath, look towards the future and move straight ahead.

An absolutely great day on the bike. Long after I’ve forgotten about the art museums and old churches I will still fondly remember this guided tour.

A fantastic experience featuring all the different types of terrain you can expect in a Belgian classics race. Karl has a unique knowledge of the best routes to take, which result in little traffic interruption or safety concerns. Karl and I chatted the whole way around he has great stories and knowledge of the pro peloton and cycling in general which I loved. The pace was spot on as the day progressed I got to experience all different types of pave (cobbles) going up and down hill with big gaps and small gaps all providing a different element to the day. The Ritchey bike was great very solid considering the pounding it gets on the pave yet lightweight enough to not feel like a steel bike. Karl was a perfect host and I could not recommend this tour enough,it was awesome.

This was an epic experience. By the time we were an hour in to the ride I felt like we had been biking together for years. Karl will let you push the ride as much as you want. But watch out.... he has some serious stamina. His stories about the classic races and TDF routes are great added bonus. Not to mention he is an all around good guy. If you are an avid cyclist do not miss out on this opportunity.
