I grew up in Fukushima, Japan, learning to cook traditional dishes from my mother, who ran a ramen shop. In 2016, my daughter Kaori and I started Kaori’s Kitchen in the Bay Area. We’ve taught ramen and gyoza classes to guests from around the world, sharing the flavors and stories that have shaped our family’s kitchen.
