What you'll do

Come enjoy a morning sea kayak adventure on Sydney's beautiful harbour. No engine noise or fumes, just the sound of your paddle in the water and the sea birds squawking above! We'll experience the built environs and get up close and personal with many of the harbour's natural wonders and marine inhabitants. We'll paddle to the center of the harbour where we'll get some photos of you framed by the Harbour Bridge (I'm a professional photographer in my other job so expect good pics - no charge of course!) We'll then land and explore Goat Island (Memel in the local Aboriginal Language) before paddling back via Darling Harbour. Goat Island is closed to the public and landing is by special permit only. Your permit is arranged for you and included as part of the tour.

After we're finished your welcome to have a hot shower before treating yourself to a great lunch at the famous Sydney Fish Market a short walk away. There are also lot's of excellent lunch options minutes away on the famous Glebe Point Road or treat yourself to something really special at the Tramsheds.

Our boatshed is easy to get to with plenty of free street parking nearby.

We're the only kayak tour run by qualified kayakers that use REAL sea kayaks and top notch carbon fibre paddles. HAVE A PROPER ADVENTURE!

Where you'll be

We'll meet by the harbour at Blackwattle Bay. We'll kayak under Anzac bridge, along White Bay and into Darling Harbour. We'll see Barrangaroo, The Opera House and of course the Sydney Harbour Bridge. We'll paddle to Goat Island (Memel) where we'll land in a secret cove before exploring this very special place on foot. Goat Island has some of Sydney's oldest sandstone buildings, some remnant native bushland and lots of wildlife.

Matt is a fantastic host, we had such a fantastic experience. Not only the kayaks are proper kayaks for sea (top equipment), the whole tour was fabulous! We stopped at Goat island, where Matt shared his knowledge about the history of the place. It was fascinating. Thank you for such an amazing time!

Absolutely amazing experience! Matt is great guide and we've learned so much from him, not just with the basics of kayak but also the rich history of the places we've been. We are so happy and would definitely do this again. Thank you so much Matt, it's an absolute pleasure to meet you!

My sister and I had an amazing experience with Matt. Seeing Sydney harbour on a kayak is amazing and that's coming from a seasoned Sydney-sider! Highly recommend this experience!

This is a really special experience with someone who is passionate and clearly experienced but makes it unique for each customer. My wife bought this for me as a gift (i’m reviewing on her profile) and despite being familiar with Sydney harbour, Matt showed things that were absolutely new. The tour is just the right amount of exercise and discussion with Matt stopping to explain bits and pieces about the history as you go. He is clearly passionate about preserving a clean and sustainable Sydney harbour and his enthusiasm is infectious. Matt takes time to talk individually with all of the participants in his groups. We had a group of 7 guests on quite a windy day and Matt had a knack for watching everyone without getting in their space. I’d recommend this to anyone; local or visitor.

Awesome! Matt is very knowledgeable and interesting. It was fantastic to see Matt's kayaking skills too. Although we are amateur kayakers he made us feel safe and confidence.

Active and rewarding experience whilst spending some quality time with a partner! Matt was super friendly and knowledgeable, you could definitely sense the passion within his storytelling. He taught us the ropes of kayaking - and safety was top priority. Overall we enjoyed the experience from a much different perspective of the harbour, thank you Matt!
