What you'll do

You get to know a very idyllic forest in Cologne. There are unique places that are not in the travel guide. You will experience the forest and its beneficial effects on yourself with the other course participants and learn to sharpen your senses. We will be on the road for about 3 hours and cover approximately 2.5 km. The goal is to consciously perceive nature and yourself. We discover the power of slowness and are amazed at how intensely and attentively we perceive ourselves, others and our surroundings. Time flies quickly and you have discovered a lot of new things with others and have had an intensive exchange with the group. You are relaxed.
Exemplary procedure:
- Introduction
Presentation of participants and topic
- Shake off the day:
Qigong and breathing exercises
- Alternating exercises for two: feel, relax, discover and rest.
- Feel good together: Cologne tea ceremony on the idyllic forest stream.
- Creative time:
Everyone collects forest finds and creates their own forest image. Exchange with the others.
- Various partner and group exercises including building a forest sofa.
- Conclusion: feedback round. Everyone takes their own forest picture with them.

Where you'll be

The Iddelsfelder Hardt is a particularly idyllic piece of forest in Cologne's Königsforst. Tourists cannot find it here on their own, although the natural forest is only a 17-minute drive from the main train station. It is a mixed forest with very old oak, beech, robinia, maple and pine trees. A natural stream flows through the forest. I will guide you to particularly idyllic places that I find unique and only a few know.

Jörg hat uns begeistert. Er hat uns den Wald sehr viel näher gebracht. Es war ein außergewöhnliches Erlebnis, dass ich nur jedem empfehlen kann.

Ich habe meinem Freund zum Geburtstag einen Kurs mit Jörg geschenkt und er hört gar nicht mehr auf davon zu schwärmen. Ein absolutes muss, gerade für Menschen die dem stressigen Stadtrhytmus verfallen sind. Für ihn war erstaunlich wie man mit einfachen Übungen seine Sinne schärfen und dabei den beruflichen Stress hinter sich lassen kann. Die Kursdauer von ca. 3 Stunden waren für ihn ein beruhigender Balsam der selbst an den Folgetagen noch wirkte. Geht mit Jörg in den Wald und lernt wie man selbst in der Großstadt zu sich selber finden kann.

Waldbaden war eine wunderbare Entdeckung, die ich jedem empfehlen würde. Generell gehe ich gerne spazieren, wandern oder laufen - das aber immer mit Blick auf die Pulsuhr oder die Zeit, die gelaufenen Kilometer etc. Umso schöner, den Aufenthalt im Wald mal ganz bewusst, konzentriert und aufmerksam zu erleben - und wirklich abzutauchen. Es macht einem nochmal deutlich, dass man viel zu oft besondere Momente verstreichen lässt, weil man sie im Alltag nicht wirklich wahrnimmt oder eher an Leistung als an das Erleben denkt. Die interaktiven Übungen sind klasse und überhaupt nicht ... albern oder esoterisch (das wäre meine Befürchtung gewesen). Sie machen einfach nur Spaß und zeigen einem einen neuen Blick auf sonst ganz alltägliche Dinge. Der Wald, den Jörg für seine Entdeckung ausgesucht hat, ist total schön und einmalig. Hier hat man die Natur wirklich für sich. Vielen Dank, Jörg!

This is a unique oppurtunity to take in the sights, sounds and senses of the forest in an urban context. The "Waldbad" consists of a number of interactive excercises which invite a more holistic understanding of our natural surroundings, but are also in themselves techniques which offer the perfect counterweight to our hectic day-to-day routines. It takes only a few minutes to leave the tempo of the city behind and acclimatise to the atmosphere of the forest. Jörg is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the meditative and therapeutic potential of "Waldbaden" and was a very personable and communicative host. I would recommend this activity to people of all ages and from all walks of life, as a chance to strike the perfect balance with an eventful day of sight-seeing.

We can bathe in the forest in any weather - except during a storm. If it rains, please put on a rainproof jacket, pants and shoes. The forest pool lasts about three hours. It is not tiring.
