What you'll do
Explore Budapest through its food and wine in the best way possible!
Let your local foodie take you on a culinary journey where you´ll enjoy 8 authentic Hungarian tastings!
Meet at the Central Market Hall to start with a yummy welcome treat. Take in the market’s lively atmosphere, splendid architecture, and rich aromas. Let the fresh produce dazzle you, before heading to a traditional Hungarian restaurant to savour the nation’s favourite dish: the goulash soup with its incredibly tasty flavour. You´ll learn all about the history behind it. Try a fresh Hungarian blond beer with it.
Then head to Pest’s lively Jewish Quarter and make your way to a typical place for locals grabbing a bite of a traditional Hungarian sausage, adding some pickled vegetables on the side.
After this, go to the city’s first street food court, and walk through a hip and colourful community garden. Enjoy the cool vibe while checking out different food stalls. We will show you how Hungarians like to drink wine and enjoy it with a piece of Budapest’s favourite street food: lángos, the fried flat bread, the classic way, how we Hungarians eat it.
Before we finish off the tour in the coolest place, in the pioneer of all ruin pubs, you'll enjoy your dessert, the traditional Hungarian chimney cake and a coffee
Allow us to host you on this culinary journey.

I am a food and travel blogger.
Born and raised in Hungary, I have lived the past 25 years abroad in 7 different countries on 3 continents.
I've worked as a business consultant and just moved back to Hungary at the end of 2016 to rediscover my Motherland. And I'm loving it.
Budapest has so much to offer: a turbulent history, wonderful culture, beautiful architecture and delicious cuisine, which you can experience on this individual foodtasting tours with me or one of my lovely locals hosts.
That's why I created NelliciousTravels, so foodies can join us and taste these wonderful delicacies, the Hungarikums, which this bubbling city offers.

We booked this experience to ensure we had the opportunity to taste local Hungarian cuisine while staying in Budapest, Nelli exceeded our expectations. She promptly met us at our meet-up location already having treats in hand to get the adventures started. She quickly adapted to our unique interests and needs while keeping to the planned itinerary as much as possible . Through our experience and adventures with Nelli we had the opportunity to taste local tradition and learn about local cuisine that we would not have otherwise been able to. This is experience is focused around the food, but the history and unique personal touch that Nelli brings along with her, makes the food so much richer and enjoyable. Nelli was amazing with our 5 year old, which I am sure is not the norm for a culinary tour of this type, but she was extremely gracious and patient with us and ensured our experience was as unique as possible. Köszönöm for sharing your local cuisine and culture with us!
