What you'll do
Come and be a part of the One Kind Family! Learn to grow your own crops using the latest urban farming technologies; forage for baby kedondong leaves to pound into a pesto; and pluck blue pea flowers to make a uniquely different tea and rice. Then we'll cook a three-course meal (being mindful of your diet and spice preference) using family recipes, and enjoy it together while sharing stories.
Other things to note
We require a minimum of 4 sign ups in order to run a cooking session. You will be notified by the host, at least 2-3 days in advance, in the case of insufficient sign ups. The host will advise on the next steps thereafter.

Mummy Soh is 76 years old and a champion of active elder aging, growing wholesome foods that nourish the body and soul, and cooking homegrown recipes. Fresh ingredients can create the most memorable meals—memories she loves sharing with people through #OneKindHouse.
We’re a family-run part urban farm, part cooking school, part collaborative workshop, where every visit conjures a 21st century “Kampung” experience. We live in rapidly changing times and constantly need to adapt to it, so #OneKindHouse is about building the future on past foundations and staying true to ourselves and Mother Nature.

Where you'll be
One Kind House is the only 21st Century kampung that's an urban farm, cooking school, incubator, art gallery, maker space, and community center all in one. Since 1969, the home spans four generations. We are located near the East Coast beachfront as well as up-and-coming Siglap & Katong.

I would definitely bring my overseas guests to One Kind House. The experience that we were immersed in was so enriching. We shared so many stories and laughter during the entire cooking and house tour process. Thank you to Arlette and her family for being so generous with all the knowledge that they shared with us. We left feeling inspired to have more home-cooked meals and grow our own produce :) Would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

A perfect place and moment to cut off from bustling Singapore and its intensity. The reason for coming is the cooking, however, the experience with Mommy Soh and her assistants goes way beyond a simple cooking class: the pleasure of sharing personal stories, learning about the ingredients, exploring the herbs garden while seamlessly preparing the recipe you have chosen makes this experience unique. It’s an informal cooking class that leaves you with a happy heart after the session. Additionally, the open air kitchen is such a bliss.
