We will cross the Wall Street of the West and point out The Oxford to learn about the oldest hotel in town. A walk through Lodo will lead us to Larimer Square, the oldest block in town. Walking alongside the Cherry Creek, we will talk about the early history of Denver with a view of the original Auraria settlement. Our next stop is the Denver Center for Performing Arts followed by the Convention Center with a stop at the Big Blue Bear. A short walk back to the 16th Street Mall to point out the attractions and eateries will give you insight into the retail history of downtown. For twenty years, I have lived in Denver and worked in hospitality and customer service. My professional experience began as a campus tour guide for both potential as well as incoming students and their families on the Auraria Campus. The enjoyment I felt from campus tours motivated me to attain a degree in Tourism Management in 2015 from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
I was a volunteer tour guide at the Colorado State Capitol from 2016 to 2019. Starting in 2017, I have worked as a full-time guide leading Cannabis, Brewery, Bicycle, Food and Sightseeing tours of the Rocky Mountains, Pikes Peak and Mt. Evans. I have lead tours for thousands of people from around the world and consider myself to be the best guide in the city and county of Denver.

We took a tour with Austin on November 15th and lucky for us we ended up with a private tour! Austin has so much knowledge and passion for the area. We loved learning about the unique histories of every corner of Denver and it added so much context to our adventures in the city.

Austin is such a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. He talks about the history of Denver (CBD, Larimer, Union Station, Lodo and much more) and gave me suggestions whenever I asked for it. I would suggest going on his tour the minute you arrive to Denver to get a glimpse of how to further plan your trip.

Austin was a wonderful host and tour guide. He showed us all around downtown Denver as I would have never been able to see on my own. He was very familiar with all the history and cast of characters, and had a very easygoing style. I felt like we hit it off well, and I left feeling as if I had made a new friend. I was traveling alone, with my dog, and welcomed his accompanying us on the tour.
