About your host

I left the U.S. and settled in Amsterdam as a journalism student 15 years ago. In that time I've witnessed the decline of the once-vibrant squatting community. I've published articles and recorded audio documentaries about that community and the reuse of buildings and infrastructure.

What we’ll do

We'll visit key sites of Amsterdam's once iconic squat movement, each with unique stories and architecture. What else you should know

Based on weather and interaction with guests, I'd be happy to adjust the itinerary according to specific interests, as there are other squats to visit.
