What you'll do
Journey to breathtaking rock formations and pools in South Africa’s Cederberg mountains.
We’ll take a winding road from Cape Town through the Hottentot Holland mountain range, hike to rock pools, then set up camp and have a braai (dinner cooked over an open fire). The next day, we’ll hike to the Wolfberg Cracks, then it’s on to Wolfberg Arch before we head back to camp for another traditional South African dinner.
On our last day, we’ll trek to the famous Maltese Cross and enjoy the otherworldly landscape before heading back to Cape Town.

I choose to live in Cape Town as, in my opinion, it is one of the most beautiful places in the world to live. Together with Marius, a local experienced travel guide and my life partner, we enjoy cycling, hiking, and all sorts of outdoor adventures. We would love to share our love for the city, passion for exploration, and amazing experiences with anyone who is keen to try something new. Marius has been arranging travel adventures to hidden spots for friends and guests for more than 12 years. As one of our guests once commented, we are passionate about arranging trips "that money can't buy."

Particularly enjoyed the swim at Maalgat and dinner around the fire afterwards. The hike was quite demanding, mainly because it was on quite a warm day, but the surroundings were truly spectacular, particularly going through the Wolfberg cracks and then on to the Wolfberg Arch. Scrambling to the top of the Arch was a definite highlight. The next day was more relaxing, with a lovely swim at Eselbank. Marius and Irmina were considerate and always helpful.

Amazing 3 day get away into very secluded and beautiful part of the country. The scenery is out of this world. I really enjoyed scrambling and exploring the Wolfberg cracks. I haven't seen anything like that before! Scenic hikes, great South African braai and fun evenings around the fire make this experience very memorable and special. Would definitely go again!

Cederberg is truly magical. The beautiful rock formations, stunning night sky, the fact that cape leopards and antelopes are roaming there freely... It is a very special and memorable experience. The hikes are customized, the food is amazing (lot's of traditional South African treats!), and the hosts are doing everything to make this experience wonderful.
