We had a wonderful experience with António on this mezcal tour. We had booked the experience 2 days prior and it ended up being just us. During the drive, he told us about the process of making mezcal, the history, how mezcals are classified, etc. It really makes you appreciate how complex mezcal is and how important it is to Oaxacan history and culture. We then went to two different mezcal producers where we got to see the mezcal making process in action and meet the mezcaleros. After each tour, we would have a guided tasting of the mezcals- 15 in total (definitely eat breakfast before you go). We ended with a delicious lunch of tacos prepared by Antonio and his wife in a traditional market. We loved the experience and recommend it if you are interested in learning about mezcal. António is a true expert in this field.

A wonderful tour, and a great time even for mezcal amateurs. Antonio is a deeply knowledgeable and friendly guide, who introduces you not only to the ins and outs of mezcal production and tasting, but also to the community around it. If you're looking for a day to learn, have some great drinks, and experience the beauty of Oaxaca beyond the city, this is the way to do it!

This was such a brilliant experience that totally exceeded our expectations. We learnt so much about mezcal - Antonio’s knowledge about the mezcal making process is incredible and he imparts it in a really clear way. We especially loved having lunch in the market as it was something we wouldn’t have done independently. Antonio and his wife were really thoughtful in preparing delicious food for us. Thanks guys! We would 100% recommend this experience. Worth every penny!

This was one of my best experiences visiting Oaxaca! Antonio is very insightful and knowledgeable on the market and culture of Mezcal. Lunch was delicious and the Lopez friendly (one of the distillers we visited) are super friendly. If you want to get the hands-on experience in the process of cultivating Mezcal, this is the event for you!

We are so glad that we booked this amazing one of a kind tour. Not only was Antonio extremely knowledgeable of mezcal, the history & the future of it, he also had personal experience information that made the tour very personal. We also had lunch at a super unique market that we would’ve not known about had we tried to do this ourselves. I would highly recommend this tour a million times over!!

We went on this tour knowing little about mezcal production but having a great appreciation for mezcal flavors and spirit tasting. Yet still, both of these - knowledge and appreciation - have been immensely expanded thanks to Antonio's guidance. Antonio and his wife were perfect hosts and fielded all of our questions. Antonio taught us much about tasting and encouraged our perspective. The opportunity to try many varieties of mezcal side by side with an expert was enlightening and fun. The experience includes visits to two distilleries, followed by lunch at a market. We enjoyed observing, and sometimes participating in, the artisanal mezcal making process. This really felt like a "must-do" in the Oaxaca region. Everything was so satisfying and fulfilling, we had to take a nap after.
