Experience hosted by Melissoula

2 hours
Includes equipment
Up to 4 people

What you'll do

This tour is a visit to more than 50 buildings (in 1:45/2 hours) in a pictoresque district with cobbled streets not far from the city center.

It is designed for those who want to see a different and not-turisty side of Turin's architecture, concentrated in one compact district with painted facades and windows, artistic benches and even a street painting gallery.

Do you know that it's the first open-air contemporary art museum in an urban center in Italy (and most of people of Turin do not know it)?

I studied Art History at Turin's University and will share with you all my knowledge, but I would like you to express our opinion too, we will make comparisons and learn together, in an informal experience with your LOCAL FRIEND. And no big groups, because I want to give 100% of my attention to everyone.

Being a teacher of Italian for foreigners, you can practice your Italian and ask me whatever you like about Italian culture, lifestyle, etc. I'll be happy to satisfy your curiosity!

THE SCHEDULE YOU SEE ONLINE IS PURELY INDICATIVE.

I want to provide what I look for when I travel: good places to visit, good company and good memories! Consider me your LOCAL FRIEND, not a guide!

I was born and raised in Turin and I'm graduated in Art and Cinema History at the University of Turin. I'm a teacher of Italian for foreigners and speak also English, French, Spanish and some Portuguese.

In 2010 I started to work for some relocation companies that support the expats in their "new life" in Turin and for several companies which provide them private language tutoring.

I'll be at your complete disposal for any questions you may have about Turin (or Italy): what to visit, where to eat, transport, culture, etc.

Great walking tour through an often overlooked neighbourhood. Some of the murals are really nice. We liked how they incoperated augmented reality in some of the murals to connect the old and the new crafts.

Melissoula is a great guide! She knows a lot about the showed urban paintings & their painters. You can really feel her enthusiasm for art! Besides the great paintings, I also enjoyed the nice walk through the little streets in this quarter! :)

We booked this tour on a whim, intrigued by the idea of an open air museum. We were so glad that we did - this was a wonderful experience, with a kind and knowledgeable host who was super easy to communicate with beforehand. The art that we saw was exciting and vibrant, and we felt lucky to be guided right into the heart of this unique museum. We recommend that you get off the beaten path with this tour!

It was very informative and personal. We especially like the Roman ruins and the hidden places that we would not have found otherwise. Thank you 😊 ❤️
