What you'll do
This experience is focused on learning about the Cyanotype process, also known as Sun Printing. Cyanotypes are one of the oldest photographic techniques dating back to the 1800's. These prints are created when an object is placed onto a surface (coated with light-sensitive chemicals) while being exposed under UV rays. I am located in a heavily green area, so you will also have the option to go into nature and find your own flora, or you may bring your own. The class will take an hour and all materials will be provided for you to make your own prints under the aloha sun.
Hi ! I'm Jamie, the creative behind Treehouse Daydreams. My art business launched in 2017, offering a variety of sun prints + hand embroidered art pieces (and sometimes a combination of the two). I look forward to sharing my process with any island locals or visitors who are looking to create a one of a kind art piece to take home.
No experience is needed, all materials are provided.
