Where you'll be

Meet at JR Isobe Station, about a 1½ hr train ride from Tokyo. Transfer through JR Takasaki Station, a Shinkansen stop with amazing shopping. Local train & bus from airport or Tokyo OK! 18-min local train to JR Isobe Station (Shin-Etsu line towards Yokokawa). Isobe is a quaint hot spring village. I love my Japanese hometown, and know it's so hard for overseas guests to visit. I'm so happy to help you enjoy a relaxing part of your stay in Japan.

This is an incredible experience. Renee is an awesome person, with such a great personality and friendly demeanor. It is extremely nice to have someone who is this enthusiastic and energetic in a country where you do not speak the language and are unfamiliar with the culture. She is extremely knowledgable of the area, and is able to speak to the history and point out to some of the important areas within the city. It was my first time visiting an onsen, and was very nervous but her explanation made everything a lot easier and smoother when I did go in. She also took us to a really great place to eat, it was a great way to start my time here in Japan. I definitely recommend checking this experience out, if anything Renee is an awesome person to talk to and just be around.

Thank you so much! The hot spring experience was awesome, and it was so helpful to have Renee there to lead us through our first experience at the onsen. The lunch was absolutely delicious and onsen was very comfortable and relaxing. We floated home feeling totally refreshed :)
