Wonderfully relaxing workshop. Very informative and lovely people.
It was fun to make a beautiful souvenir yourself and to write Japanese characters!
We really enjoyed it.

It was a really unique experience! They did a great job explaining the process. And at the end, we even had the chance to learn how to write our name in Japanese. I would highly recommend!

We had a lovely time at Miwako's shop! As the third generation of her family's business, she takes great pride in the history of the washi paper making and she was extremely patient and kind in helping us through all of the steps that go into making the postcards. A very unique and wholesome experience and definitely something we would recommend if you are in Kyoto!

A great experience- educational and fun with a really calm and patient teacher, some great keepsakes to take away as well.

I returned to my family's 94-year-old business, which has spanned three generations. The heart of my business involves making traditional Japanese washi paper, which is deeply rooted in Japanese culture, tradition, and customs. I love sharing this art form with visitors and helping them explore Japanese handicrafts.
