What you'll do

The experience will begin in Central Park, from where we will enter 500-year-old walled Havana. Our walk will take us along routes that only a Cuban knows, allowing you to see the contrast between the different historical periods, from the colonial Havana taken by the Spaniards, its passage through the capitalist system, to the socialist government of today. We will see from buildings that are barely standing, to the most expensive hotels in Cuba, witnessing the two faces of Havana. In this tour you will also witness the daily life of the Cuban on foot and learn how our economy works. We will visit the main squares, state markets, private markets and other sites of peculiar interest of our route while enjoying the countless works of street art that adorn the city. We will cross by boat the Bay of Havana where we will meet Regla, a hidden and forgotten town, which has been trapped in time. From Regla we will take a taxi that will give us an additional tour through Regla town, around the bay, leaving us at the meeting point.

Hello, my name is David and I look forward to meeting you and knowing your culture. I am the typical Cuban born and raised in Havana, where this experience arises from the walks that my mother gave me since I was a child and that I now do professionally for travelers like you who want to know my culture. I have been a tourist guide for years. My mom Aliet, my friend Ruben, and I on this Tour share the passion of making our rich roots known and making new friends.
You can count on our advice, suggestions and any kind of clarification of doubts about my country that can help you understand and enjoy a better experience in Cuba. Book to enjoy this experience together.

Good intro to the city. Fun local transportation experiences via the ferry to Regla and a collective taxi home. On the downside, the tour ran an hour over and affected other plans.

Aaron was very knowledgeable about the history of Cuba - very polite - we could stop where we wanted to take photos - nothing was rushed - few more facts about the Cuban people would have been good - all in all a good tour.

Aaron, David's friend, gave us a lovely tour. I would recommend only doing a walking tour in Havana earlier or much later in the day, not in midday sun. We didn't get a chance to see the church in Regla as it was closed, but got to hang out waiting for a taxi and giving out baseball caps to kids in the park. Hard to imagine a week after we're back that the Corona virus has taken over the world. We're so grateful we were able to be in Cuba for a wonderful trip.

We had a great day on our walking tour led by Aaron, one of David's friends. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the city and gave us a great insight into the local Cuban culture. Thanks for a great day exploring Havana!

I absolutely loved it! The tour was very personal and could not have been hosted by better people! If I were to come back I would book another experience with the same group!
