Invisible (Manchester) is part of Invisible Cities, a social enterprise that trains people who have been affected by homelessness to become walking tour guides of their own city.
Danny, your guide, is originally from Liverpool so beware for a strong 'Scouser accent'. Danny spent many, many years in Manchester and is the perfect guide for an "Off the Cobbles" Tour. He is funny, entertaining and very passionate about Manchester.

About the organization: Invisible Cities

Invisible (Manchester) is part of Invisible Cities, a social enterprise that trains people who have been affected by homelessness to become walking tour guides of their own city. 100% of our profit is used to develop our guides further or to organise wider events for the homeless community.

This is a social impact experience where 100% of what you pay for this experience goes to Invisible Cities.

Where you'll be

Each stop is marked with either a poignant poetry piece, written by Danny, or an anecdote from his time on the streets. Danny is testament to the positive impacts that art and literature can have on an individual who has been, or still is, homeless. With this in mind, this tour will make you stop and appreciate landmarks as emblematic as Manchester Cathedral down to singular pieces of street art in the Northern Quarter.

Danny is the most engaging and genuine man. We learnt so much about the experience of homelessness in the city, and came away feeling humbled and grateful for the outreach work that is being provided to help people who are on the streets. Danny’s poetry packs a punch, and it was enlightening to learn about a different side of life in the city. Thank you Danny!

Danny provided an excellent tour of the city, we visited places we hadn't seen on our past few days in Manchester and got a full understanding from Danny about his past living on these streets. Danny was friendly, funny and true gentleman. Would fully recommend this tour to anyone who does not know Manchester and would like a friendly face to show them around.

A unique experience in Manchester. Spent 2 hours with Danny and he gave some beautiful poetry and insights. Note: This is not a walk where you hear about the history or architecture of Manchester. It's specifically aimed at homelessness and rough sleeping.
