What you'll do

The morning coffee is going to be at “Terrua” coffee shop with a brief explanation about the coffee in Peru; after this taste is time to jump to the city center using the “Metropolitano” having fun at the Lima´s public transportation. At the city center the walk will start around the “Mercado Central” and the China town to try different bites of the Peruvian - Chinese gastronomy and also some traditional desserts. If you are thirsty “Chicha Morada”, our Peruvian black corn drink, is also part of the tour. After the “Mercado Central” the tour continues around the Congress Palace, very old building from the first years of the Peruvian Republic. Finish the walk around San Francisco church to try some “churros” and some Causa or Papa Rellena with our traditional Pisco Sour at the Cordano Tavern, one of the most traditional places around Government Palace with more than a 100 years old. This tour includes a combination of street food and local shops.

Your hosts

Our passion for traveling and exploring gave us the chance to visit other continents opening our minds and giving us a different view of the tourism around the world Travel Buddies idea came as a consequence of our constant contact with travelers from different parts of the world and their need for trying new experiences that could make them get in touch with the local culture and not only with the touristy places, a touch that only a local buddy or friend can give you. We have the commitment of delivering and experience full of stories and anecdotes.
