About The Cleveland Amory Black Beauty Ranch

The Cleveland Amory Black Beauty Ranch is a world-renowned animal sanctuary in Murchison, Texas. The ranch was founded in 1979 by author and animal advocate Cleveland Amory. With over 1,400 acres, it is home to more than 800 domestic and exotic animals, many of whom have been rescued from near-death situations.
This is a social impact experience where 100% of what you pay for this experience goes to The Cleveland Amory Black Beauty Ranch. .

What we’ll do

You'll go on an inspirational journey through 1,400 acres of the Cleveland Amory Black Beauty Ranch to see and hear about more than 800 domestic and exotic animals that have been saved from lives of neglect and abuse. You will start by boarding a bus that will take you past dynamic enclosures and rolling pasture. Your guide will share a video presentation and tell you the stories of the animal…

What else you should know

The two-hour tour is rain or shine, so please dress for the weather. However, for the safety of our guests and staff, severe weather can cause us to cancel a tour, so please call ahead to confirm.

What to bring

Dress comfortably and wear closed-toe shoes.
Photography is encouraged, so don't forget your cameras!
If you have them, please bring binoculars; sometime the animals are roaming!
