This experience was amazing. Vicente is extremely knowledgeable about Mexican history and answered all of our questions gracefully. We first headed to Porteles for breakfast. Wish we had bigger appetites. The portions are huge! Strolled through the local market and then headed to Xochimilco to ride the canal. It wasn’t too busy, which we liked. Again, we wish had bigger appetites to enjoy the food on the canal. We then headed to Caza Azul and skipped the line before parting ways.
A few tips: wear sneakers and sunscreen, use the restroom every chance you get (the ride between places is a bit long), spend time in Coyoacán—it’s really beautiful, and bring cash to tip your boat and tour guides.
