What you'll do

This French Quarter walking tour takes you through Jackson Square and Pirates Alley where you’ll hear about how the Lafitte brothers (Pirates!) came to New Orleans and crafted their smuggling empire. Then wander down historic Royal Street to discover how they evolved from smugglers to saviors during the Battle of New Orleans. Your salty guides, either The Captain or Quarter Master will separate pirate fact from the myths. You will laugh and learn. We are historically accurate and hysterically entertaining. Our Pirates, along with the French Quarter as the backdrop, will make for a truly remarkable New Orleans experience. This isn't just about Pirates. By the end of the tour you'll have a much better understanding of why New Orleans is so unique today. The tours are about 2 hours long with a question and answer period at the end. We stop halfway through the tour for a quick break at a bar or coffee shop. Our tours are at 10am and 4:30pm 7 days a week. If your group wants to book a private tour just let us know. Our tours run rain or shine unless there is dangerous or extreme weather.

Captain

The Captain and Quarter Master are licensed guides with a deep understanding of New Orleans. This walking tour was created through extensive research with museums, research centers, countless books, documents and interviews. This is the only historically accurate, pirate guided tour of the French Quarter. They dress and act like pirates but deep down they know their stuff! They are experts at guiding small groups through the streets and humorously telling stories of smuggling, adventure, jailbreaks, defending New Orleans and breaking down pirate myths.
