Kyoto is famed for its shrines and temples, which are full of countless unique stories that will astonish you, making you fall in love with and connect yourself to their ancient history. I am deeply fascinated by the tales and traditions hidden among the streets and behind the sliding doors of Gion. The mysterious world of Geisha can seem exclusive and challenging to discover, so on my tour I will reveal the history, rituals, and nuances of the art-form as well as the entertainers who adhere to this traditional lifestyle, while simultaneously providing other interesting facts and a deeper understanding of Kyoto through the secret or small details that are often hard to notice for visitors and locals alike.

Kentaro is a very knowledgeable guide about geisha world. He clearly has his own interests and appeal for it so the way he does his tour is amazing. Very detailed explanation about everything and open to take any questions about what is being explained or experienced.
What I found the best about Ken and his tour is that this goes way above and beyond just the geisha world. He explains a lot about Kyoto, Japan, its culture, heritage and also, gives you good tips about anything you want while in Kyoto (restaurants, bars, other experiences)

Kentaro and his assistant made our tour so interesting! We were able to learn a bunch about Geiko and Maiko, their lifestyles and training. My daughters and I found it very interesting and we had a fun filled evening learning about this unique culture! We saw quite a few of the beautiful and elusive Geiko and Maiko, and they taught us how to show respect to honor this years old cultural experience. We highly recommend this experience!!!!
