Very good tour. My guide was Jasmine and not only was she super knowledgeable, but was such an outgoing friendly person. Took me to see locations that I never would have seen had I been just wandering on my own. Jasmine made me feel like I was walking around Old Quarter with a friend. I’m very glad I did this tour!! Very worth it!!

Thea was fantastic: punctual, very knowledgeable and generous in sharing the history and significance behind every stop. The tour was well paced, starting with a Vietnamese coffee and she showed us how the city really lives, through the actual Old Quarter and the alleys where life has carried on for generations.

If you are planning a trip to Hanoi or recently arrived, make sure you get in touch with this team. Really enjoyed my morning learning so much history and culture in such a short space of time, while getting my steps in and getting to see the same things your average tourist see, as well as things they wont! There are also opportunities to sit and slow down, and I really appreciated our starting at the rooftop of a hotel and have a cold drink where we got to see 360degree views of Hanoi. I was so impressed I want to do their French Quarter tour next.

Wonderful historical walking tour with Thea! She is incredibly knowledgeable, and the route was very thoughtfully designed. I learned so much about Vietnamese culture, religion, traditions, and important historical events, including the independence wars and Vietnam’s foreign relations.
Thea tells stories in such an engaging way that I even had a few tears in my eyes at the end. Truly a memorable experience — highly recommend!

I’ve met guests from over 130 countries and love sharing Hanoi’s hidden layers. After exploring all across Vietnam and spending a year in Israel, I now volunteer teaching kids science and English—and still discover something new in Hanoi every day.
