What you'll do

We go throughout Bogotá on electric bikes. We start and finish the tour in Chapinero.

There´s 3 different options. Downtown, Parks or North. (We do one route per day).

In the Downtown option we´ll ride throughout Teusaquillo, try some pandebonos and buñuelos with oatmeal drink, we´ll pass through the 26th street and see some street art over the area. Then we´ll go to the central business district, La Candelaria, the historic district and we´ll finish at National Park and try Salpicón.

In the Parks route we´ll go and try some exotic colombian fruits at Uba, a small fruit shop, then we´ll go to El Campín area passing over the Campín Stadium. Then we´ll go to the Simón Bolivar Park. After this we´ll go to Virgilio Barco Library, i´ll tell you a short story of García Márquez and then we´ll go to try "buñuelos and pandebonos" with oatmeal drink.

In the North route we´ll go to upper side Chapinero, try "arepa" with cheese, then we´ll go to the G Zone and after that to Los Heroes Monument. We´ll go then to Virrey park, the park of 93th street and then to Chicó "Hacienda". Then we´ll come back crossing the 82th street and finally we´ll go to "Cafe Cultor" a specialty coffee shop to discover a bit of colombian coffee culture and share a cup.
Other things to note
Every participant has to know how to ride a bike. The electric bike works the same as a traditional one, the difference is that our bikes comes with a throttle on the handlebar that accelerates when you turn the wrist.

Hi, my name is Dougan and i´m the founder of Tourebikes.com. I worked for many years as a designer and art director at different advertising agencies but in 2018 i decided to start with this tourism project. I lived in Bogotá, Buenos Aires and Mexico City and every time i always chose to ride the bike as my vehicle. I´ve been riding my bike for more than 20 years and the idea is to ride together through Bogota´s nicest spots.

Dougan was a fantastic host! He was very patient and took his time. He would consistently make sure we were okay to continue and if we needed time to rest. The electric bikes make this excursion very easy and enjoyable for everyone. This tour is a great way to see the city and get to know some local spots. Doug recommended a lot of spots if your in need of places to eat or things to do.I would do it again and recommend everyone check out Dougan’s tour when in Bogota!

Dougan is awesome! Super knowledgeable about the city. My partner and I had an amazing time getting to see Bogota by bike (since traffic sucks). The weather wasn't that ideal at the start of the tour and he had ponchos ready for the wet weather. Dougan is SUPER informative about Bogota and Colombia - you can tell he is proud of his country and city! I would highly recommend taking a tour from him.

Dougan is a passionate and knowledgeable storyteller. His bicycle tour is both fun and engaging. I’ve never had a city tour as interesting as his.

Dougan is more than just a guide - he’s an intelligent and engaging guy with a great knowledge of the history of Bogotá and Colombia. We really hit it off and I did three personal tours with him around the city. I wouldn’t have discovered half of the great neighbourhoods and places to eat without him. From downtown Candelaria to funky Chapinero and up to chic Chico and countless places in between, Dougan can tell you loads about each area and take you to the best places to eat arepas, empanadas and try local fruit that has to be seen and tasted to be believed. (Ask for sugar on the lulo!) I did another bike tour in the city on my first day that was really average. Dougan, who speaks excellent English, brought Bogotà alive for me and if you want to discover the Colombian capital properly I can’t recommend a tour (or three) with him enough.

Dougan is an excellent storyteller with incredible knowledge of Bogota. I'm a world traveler, I've taken many tours, and this e-bike tour is among my favorites. We passed through some very nice parts of town, making stops along the way for to look at street art, sculptures, historic buildings and more. We also stopped to eat some local food, which was delicious. I learned quite a bit from Dougan and I feel that I have a new friend. My only regret is not being able to take his other 2 tours. This one is a must if you're visiting Bogota.
