What you'll do

Thanks to a special line dedicated for guides, we will enter together quickly inside of the museum.

In the medieval part of the palace, I will first briefly outline, thanks to illustrations and reconstitutions, the 800 years of history of Louvre.

We will then discover a selection of artworks of the museum and understand what make them so special(of course the icons such as Mona Lisa, Venus of Milo, winged Victory of Samothrace, Michelangelo's Slaves, the Egyptian Sphinx, and many more that will surprise you such as a roman momie...).
At same time, we will enjoy the palace looking at the beautiful rooms and ceilings(throne room, moat, gallery of Apollo, Marly courtyards,...).

This will always be fun and informative thanks to many anecdotes that I have collected over years.

If you have particular interests, I will of course adapt the program to your tastes.

I have studied art history at Ecole du Louvre so this museum is a bit like my second home. Therefore, I would love to share with you all the secrets of this beautiful palace turned into a museum and above all my love for art.
My pleasure is to surprise you, to adapt to your taste.

Where you'll be

History of Louvre from medieval period.
A selection of Masterpieces and more secret artworks.
Beautiful Courtyards and Apartments of the palace.

We will of course not cover the whole museum but you will have a very good overview of the museum.
In the end, I will provide you a map and tips to continue your visit.

I am also proposing a second visit "Louvre off the beaten roads" for curious and courageous guests(thanks Dana for that suggestion).

Carine was a wonderful and passionate guide who shared her love of the art in the Louvre with us. We would not have been able to see all that we did on our own, nor would have appreciated what we saw. Carine is a great storyteller who provided the history of the Louvre and the artists and made the art come to life.

Carine is very enthusiastic about art and is very knowledgeable about the Louvre museum, having studied art history in Paris and made countless visits to the museum as part of her education. She was able to adapt the route for elevator access since my husband is a wheelchair user. We saw the top masterpieces including Nike of Samothrace (a.k.a. "Winged Victory), Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo and several others. I was more than pleased to have seen these great works on my first visit to the Louvre and look forward to discovering more in future trips to the museum. Keep smiling Carine!

Carine is a super tour guide through the Louvre, presenting interesting information that I had never previously, put together on my own. Personable and warm, she is a real gem. I thoroughly enjoyed our tour and highly recommend.

Our visit with Carine to the Louvre was great. Meet up was smooth and she was very friendly. As someone who doesn't know much about art, she really highlighted special pieces and aspects. There is no way we could've seen all these pieces this efficiently and learned what we did on our own. Very worth the cost to have a stress free visit to the Louvre for first timers

Probably the best way to visit Louvre for the first time. Carine is an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and, at the same time, really friendly and flexible. She showed us the highlights of the museum and was eager to adapt to our interests, told fascinating stories behind the art masterpiece but best of all we felt guided by our old and close friend. Excellent experience, highly recommend.
