What you'll do
We will meet for a short orientation while you enjoy a welcoming coffee or cold drink. We will then introduce you to "the herd" and select a few horses to demo how to approach them, halter and lead them, groom them. You will then be helped to choose your own horse for the day. If the weather is cooperative, we can go for a short trail walk and perhaps see some of the wildlife who seem to be more comfortable and come closer when we humans are attached to a horse!
Q and A is ongoing. All questions are welcome, and we will make every effort to gear the experience to the guests' individual interests.
Some may simply want the 'therapy value' of touching and communicating. Some may want information on how we care for the horses. Some may want a demo on how we show them in competition. Energetic guests may want to take a horse over a set of appropriately scaled jumps or obstacles. All can be arranged, and everyone in the group can do something different, as long as I can maintain my ability to be six places at once. It's a talent.
We can also provide a special occasion for any age guest and his or her celebrants, with appropriate refreshments that you bring along or order here.
Other things to note
Please dress appropriately for the weather. Closed-toe shoes, please. Sunscreen and bug repellent are handy seasonally.
THE MAGICAL MINIS EXPERIENCE MAKES A FABULOUS, ONE OF A KIND GIFT!

I have a passion for my Miniature Horses (all animals, actually!) that I enjoy sharing with the world. A lifetime lover of all things equine, I was drawn into the world of "magical miniatures" in 1989, and was a serious breeder for more than 20 years, showing my under 34" Minis all over the country. Since 2006 I have also been Director of the Northeast Miniature Horse Rescue, an adoption agency that assures loving lifetime homes for unwanted Minis. I can personally attest to the ability of these endearing critters to lift your spirits and soothe your soul. Come "experience" the magic!

Where you'll be
Depending on the weather and time of year, we will be either in the spacious and airy barn, or out in any of several paddocks with the loose horses. We may also bring in several Minis to work with on the shady lawn outside the barn or even take them for a walk on the deer path that goes through the property. You will have access to bathroom facilities in the house.

Cindy and her team were warm and welcoming. Cindy first greeted us with hand sanitizer and an introduction to the horses. My fiancé and I felt very safe! The space is outdoors and there's plenty of room to social distance. This is such an amazing experience for all ages! Cindy and her team ensure that you have the proper information to feel comfortable around the animals. At the start, you get the pleasure of roaming the grounds to pet the horses or take pictures. Then you move on to 1:1 time with a horse. Cindy picks the ones who she thinks are best for the group. Once back inside the stables, Cindy demonstrates how to brush and walk the horses. At the end, you get to practice skills with the horses and give them treats!
We definitely recommend, and we'll be back again!

This experience was beyond magical. We are grateful for having the opportunity to visit Cindy’s place. She is extremely sweet, gave us a tour around the farm, got us familiar with the horses (Luke and twinkle, very adorable). Let us groom them and take them for a stroll.
