What you'll do

We will meet for a short orientation while you enjoy a welcoming coffee or cold drink. We will then introduce you to "the herd" and select a few horses to demo how to approach them, halter and lead them, groom them. You will then be helped to choose your own horse for the day. If the weather is cooperative, we can go for a short trail walk and perhaps see some of the wildlife who seem to be more comfortable and come closer when we humans are attached to a horse!
Q and A is ongoing. All questions are welcome, and we will make every effort to gear the experience to the guests' individual interests.
Some may simply want the 'therapy value' of touching and communicating. Some may want information on how we care for the horses. Some may want a demo on how we show them in competition. Energetic guests may want to take a horse over a set of appropriately scaled jumps or obstacles. All can be arranged, and everyone in the group can do something different, as long as I can maintain my ability to be six places at once. It's a talent.
We can also provide a special occasion for any age guest and his or her celebrants, with appropriate refreshments that you bring along or order here.
Other things to note
Please dress appropriately for the weather. Closed-toe shoes, please. Sunscreen and bug repellent are handy seasonally.

I have a passion for my Miniature Horses (all animals, actually!) that I enjoy sharing with the world. A lifetime lover of all things equine, I was drawn into the world of "magical miniatures" in 1989, and was a serious breeder for more than 20 years, showing my under 34" Minis all over the country. Since 2006 I have also been Director of the Northeast Miniature Horse Rescue, an adoption agency that assures loving lifetime homes for unwanted Minis. I can personally attest to the ability of these endearing critters to lift your spirits and soothe your soul. Come "experience" the magic!

Such a fun day! Cindy is a great host and was amazing with the young kids and adults alike. The minis was super sweet and even our four year old could handle it!

I loved my visit to Cindy's farm! It's in a beautiful, country setting with large paddocks for her horses. She is a great teacher, teaching each guest as we worked with her horses. She taught us grooming, leading and trotting while each of us worked with one of her horses. It was so much fun, and totally safe!

Had such a great time! We got lucky and it was just me and my fiancée and we got to spend quality time with all the horses. They’re all well behaved, and Cindy was very lovely.

What a wonderful local experience! I would highly recommend spending the time with Cindy and her beautiful mini horses. She is extremely knowledgeable and a great host. We really enjoyed the interaction with the minis. They were very sweet! And an added bonus... the money goes towards a mini horse rescue. Thank you so much Cindy!
