What you'll do

Enter the winter wonderland of the Mt Hood Wilderness. Our guides will show you the dazzling winter wilderness while hiking among the frozen pines blanketed in snow, gazing up at the night sky, sipping hot cocoa and laughing with your friends. Hike for up to a spectacular view of Mt Hood (when cloud cover and weather allow), where we stop for hot drinks and snacks. This trip is designed for anyone, but heavy snowfall does make the hike more challenging! This adventure includes transportation from our office in Troutdale (approx 1.25 hr drive to the trailhead). The snowshoe will be 2-4 miles roundtrip, depending on group pace.
Other things to note
This trip runs even if it is snowing at Mt. Hood (after all, you need snow to snowshoe!). Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions.

If you have the opportunity to do this I highly recommend it. It’s definitely worth it. The guides were all amazing and very personable and the other people on the adventure were fun too which made the experience even better.

Magical experience even in the fog and mist. Loved the location as we were the only ones out exploring. The tour is suitable for all activity comfort levels as it is mostly a flat trail. Recommend bringing hand warmers :). Keep in mind it's about 1.5 hour drive from the meet point to the trail head, so plan accordingly.

Was fun but the guide was flying through the walk leaving us who are unconditioned to this walk huffing and puffing too hard

This was a magical walk through the snow. Coming from a hot and dry place means I have little cold weather experience. This was a great introduction to snowshoeing!

This snowshoeing hike was absolutely amazing. It was my first time in Portland Oregon and in snow. I really enjoyed the pleasant conversation with the guides and other hikers. Anastacia and Daven did a wonderful job instructing us and keeping us safe. The hike was very lovely with the snow atop all the beautiful trees. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for some night fun in the mountains.
