What you'll do

I will be your guide on a bike tour of around 25 km (approx. 15.5 miles) during which I will show you the city. The Hague is the seat of the Dutch government and residence of the Royal family; it is known as the international city of peace and justice and as a green city with lots of wonderful nature. We start at 11:00 a.m. and finish at 14:30 p.m. at the point of departure.

On the tour you will see historical buildings, the buildings of Parliament, the Royal palace, foreign embassies, museums, parks, the beach and the harbor. Many of these places are already part of my life from childhood. The pace will be around 8-10km (5-6 miles) per hour and there will be plenty of opportunity for photos.

Until further notice, I shall take only one group (of 1 or more persons) on my bike tours.

A bike tour is one of the best ways I could think of to experience The Hague. The Netherlands is a paradise for bikers and The Hague is no exception. The majority of the tour will be on separate bike paths and quiet streets and the route is almost flat.

The bike tour was amazing! Erik is a great tour guide who knows the nicest spots in the Hague. It was the perfect mix between cycling in the nature and learning about the city history, politics and royals. We would definitely book it again!

Erik was very engaged in the tour. It was great to have a personal introduction to Hague. We had the possibility to bring our own bikes, which was good in the way that the cost of hired bikes was changed to a lunch. And not so good as I had 2 punctures ;-) As we needed to get the bike fixed Erik was extremely helpful in organising return to our parked car. Erik was very flexible with timing and taking our wishes into the tour. A great experience and highly recommended.

My time with Erik has been the highlight of my time in Holland. I was his only guest and he personalized the trip to whatever I was most interested in. For lunch we went to his beautiful home and he had an array of purely vegan foods for me. I was able to see how a normal dutch lives and his home was just out of this world stunning. Erik is extremely well educated so I learned all about dutch culture, history, politics and day to day living. We even went over the allotted time by an hour. If you are scared of riding bikes, don’t be! Erik is an expert and goes at your pace and makes you feel comfortable/safe at all times. I now have a very good idea of this beautiful country.
